Has it really been almost a month???

Where to begin? I am a slacker blogger... and even moreso, a facebook addict. Honestly... I have to stop. The games! The games! The games! Enough...!

So, lets backtrack a month... ummmmm... okay, spoke about the other side of the teeth cleaning incident. Spoke about Christine coming? I think I only got to day one on that... We did have a lovely time, though... And so sad to see her go! Bella seriously missed Ginny...

Onto work... work is work. One of the line cooks, Luis has shown up to work drunk on 2 occasions and completely blew off work on another... that makes working so much fun! A disgruntled owner who does nothing to fix the situation but moreso enables it... It's been busy, so that's lucrative! We have a new girl, Keri, who I love... she has 2 kids, a boy Bella's age and a 5 month old baby girl with Downs... ADORABLE. She and I only work together one day a week...

Onto hubby's work... he gave his notice (GASP!) yesterday because he got a sweet job offer down Cape and accepted it! I am hopeful that he will be happy and the transition will be smooth. Naturally the owners of his current place are BEGGING him to stay but it's a little to little to late... ya know? I know he feels guilty about leaving them in July on Cape... busy, but you have to do what you have to do. I doubt that they will even be open a year from now with all the fucked up practices they do. Onto bigger and better, I say! I will be leaving the cafe at some point -- owners are broken up about it, and I've decided I need to have them have me leave so I can collect unemployment for a bit... it's the only way it'll work so we'll have to see.

Summer is here and is in full swing... we went to see fireworks with my favorite neighbor and her 2 kids and had a blast! She stayed up until 10:30 and partied like a rockstar! Of course 2 days later she's still kind-of a basket case, but whatever...! It was worth it to have a holiday to remember! And I am so thankful to have such a lovely person in my life! =)

So, in a nutshell, that's about it... there were issues along the way but all in all things are pretty good!

Pre-K graduate!

She did it! She graduated from Pre-K on Friday, June 12th! Yay Bella! =) The event was held at a local church and the class put on a little play... so cute! Bella was a penguin, naturally, because Bella loves penguins... Periwinkle Penguin to be exact... so proud of her and moving onto Kindergarten!

Is my new best friend... I took one before going to my 2nd dentist appointment and I simply did not care that she was shooting me with Novocaine... didn't care! No stress! No freaking out! I was totally cool as a cucumber! Love that stuff and I will definitely be partaking in a pill before going again.

Sorry I haven't updated in a while... my life has been work, work and oh! work!!! Nothing more... oh, sleeping and indulging in wine... but that's it...

First day of Christine

Christine and her daughter Ginny (who is 6) arrived from NY around 1:30 yesterday while I was at work and yay! yay! yay! The fun began... we left work at then headed home and chatted, actually chatted!, for a couple of hours (without a phone between us is fab!) while the girls played and giggled... Around 4:00 we headed over to the 99 for dinner and then a walk in the Commons to do some window looking and let our bellies make room for icecream. We drove to the icecream store and while eating, the girls were giggling hysterically over a port-a-potty, opening and closing the door, peeking in and yelling, "...eeewww!". So funny! I snapped a couple of pix but really can't post them because there's something weird about posting other people's children on MY blog... and I doubt I'd ask. But you can get the picture of how funny it was. Christine and I were pissing ourselves over it!

Home we went and the girls went up to bed -- a sleep over for Bella in her room... we had books, watched some Jonas Bros. on Youtube and then literally zonked out... Christine and I were here in the living room with a bottle of wine that took us 3 hours to drink (us!) and chatted about everything and nothing. I thoroughly enjoyed myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hubby (who had her car) came home around midnight and we had 1/2 of another bottle of wine and went to bed.. so sleepy!!!!!

So nice to have them here!!!! I awoke to the sounds of the girls chattering and laughing together - even if a bit exhausted and a teeny bit hung over, it had to be the sweetest sound!

Today should be fun... a nice breakfast with hubby and then we're off doing whatever we please... so far it's cloudy out but I'm hoping for some sun! We might head down Cape, we might head somewhere else... no plans! Will write more tomorrow am.

Happy 5th Birthday to the love of my life, Bella Rose! =)

Birthday #5

I can't believe it's taken me so long to write... seriously it's been that busy.

Bella celebrated her 5th birthday on Sunday... we had a HSM3 theme and it was sure a lot of work, never to be done again (REMEMBER... NEXT YEAR! NO BIG PARTIES!!!).

We had initially planned to have it outside with a moonbounce but mother nature decided that wasn't a good idea so in a hurry I had to figure out how to get 15 kids plus their parents in my house... that entailed furniture being moved to another room and tables being set up in my LR/DR. It all turned out fine, though. Hubby ran and ran outside going from store to store to get last minute things that it turned out we didn't need because LO AND BEHOLD IT DIDN'T REALLY RAIN! The kids spent most of their time running around outside playing with Bella's outside toys.

I am really, really proud of my cake, though. I'm going to try to put a picture in here... okay, that didn't work! It's up at the top LOL! Cool, though... isn't it? It was freakin' huge!

More on the birthday... Bella had a blast... her grandmother showed and that was relatively uneventful although she had asked me to give her a list of things Bella like, which I did and it was mostly outside stuff. She gave her a tea set. Nice, right? A fucking porceline tea set. Bella will be 5. What in heavens name will she do with a glass tea set. Nothing! She can't use it without us! It's pretty but c'mon! I really fucking hate that woman and she keeps proving it to me why. MY BROTHER SHOWED UP, TOO! First time we've seen eachother in 2 years. Very happy about that even though I really would like to smack him for all of that. Ironicaly our initial problems happend about Bella's birthday those 2 years ago -- well covered territory in this blog and a good read LOL!

Tons of kids came -- all our neighbors, plus Alison's kids (although she couldn't make it because of certification classes, her husband did) and our landlord and their adorable boy... very nice time. A lot of planning for stuff that never actually happened....

Yay it's over and WOW my baby is almost 5!!!!

Weekly wrap-up

Well, this has been a fun week... kind of, I guess. Not! I really just worked all week - nothing much new there -- being short staffed (somewhat) is a good thing money-wise, for sure. But I do feel unappreciated sometimes... I'm there all the time and I feel like the thanks I get is an annoyed glance or comment. I haul ass there and they know it! Anyhow... just feeling a little sensitive lately... It's like the 17 year old who can handle one or two tables and is only there Sat/Sun gets all this preferential treatment because she's a family friend and I am chopped dog-shit on the weekends. I feel like I save their ass during the week and am still the bastard red-headed step-child! Disfunction at its best.

Anyhow... my teeth are doing fine. A little sore sometimes, but I think that's because I wasn't able to floss for 10 days on the side that was done, so... but now I'm able to. How nice is it that my gums just don't bleed anymore. Even on the other side. I contribute that to the Rotodent toothbrush. I'm supposed to go get the other side done at the end of the month but I just can't afford it. I'm pushing it to the beginning of June. And that's the way it's gonna have to be... another $500 is gonna kill us this month.

We've got a BUSY week coming up... headed up north to DeeJo's for an overnight Wed/Thurs, Friday my mother will be here (FUCKFUCKFUCKFUCK) and then we have a play that night... Saturday we are in (YAY) NY for the day and then Sunday is the big party! Wahoo!!!!!!!!!!!! And tons of shit to do in the middle... and work! Hubby is on a much needed vacation.

Okay... off to help Bella get ready for bed.

Broken record...., but....

I know I sound like one but I have got to get back on track with my eating! Honestly, I haven't been "that" bad... it's just I am definitely not being religious on my timings and I know thats 80% of the battle. I vow to get right back on today and stay on.... Bella's birthday is coming and I really want to wear that cute dress to show off my body. And after gaining a few, I don't think it's in great condition!!!!

And I VOW to exercise for 5 days this week... YES, 5 DAYS!!!! Bust-ass cardio session. Period. Fuck this weight.

15 shots of novocaine. Yes, you heard that right -- 15. Well, to be correct, it was 14, but it took a bit of the "procedure" at the dentist office to realize that the 14th shot didn't in fact numb the inner right part of my mouth --- I. HAVE. NEVER. FELT. SUCH. PAIN. So, in comes the dentist to stick a fucking needle in the roof of my mouth. IN THE ROOF OF MY MOUTH. After that, even my nose was numb. Bloody hell!!!!!!

The one hour procedure took 2 hours -- oh the fun I had! But the right side is D.O.N.E. done. I only have the left side to do next (at the end of the month... but either vallium or tequilla will be involved with that one...) and then a check-up 2 months later, and regular cleanings and checks EVERY 3 MONTHS.

MY TEETH ARE PEARLY WHITE NOW, THOUGH! :)
